balanced discipline
-
discernment
-
care for others
-
spacial awareness
How do we hold an edge with care and concern for ourselves and others around us? As your strength is developing, how do you control it in physical muscle, verbal acuity, and mental diligence? Through the practice of honing a true edge, we learn how to shape our movements to meet the practice, the result of which requires care and discernment in when and how we use that edge to not dull it, and to protect those around us.

Secrets and storytelling
One of the defining characteristics of the modern human is our ability to communicate and pass on knowledge, what we have seen and know. The power of our voice, gestures and presentation of ideas and personality are crucial to our sense of self and development of our culture. Bringing awareness to all of our interactions to the impact that we have on others in how and what we are delivering, the intention, and how.

Relating in community
-
Relating to the earth
-
Relating to each other through movement
-
Camouflage and adornment
-
Dance
Barefoot on the Earth and listening through the bottom of our feet. Our entire body is a tool with which to take in information about the world around us. Walking in wild lands, moving at the pace the terrain allows. Perceiving the interrelatedness of animal, plant, sun, and sky through the deeper listening afforded when we slow down. Finding the places within the forest to be at one with the natural rhythm, and it is here to remember what it is to be a creature that is far more intelligent than our cognitive minds.

Spark
-
Fire
-
Creation
-
Inspiration
-
Reservedness
-
Generational consumption
More than an acknowledgement of how to create fire, this is an invitation to discover our own spark. Where do we hold the tools to light up our own lives, how to foster these skills, care for them, and learn to use them at the right moments? How to maintain the heat of a well-tended fire and manage our fuel supply. Keeping ourselves and others safe as we are learning to tend to our needs and wants.

-
Food
-
Song
-
Self care
-
Love
-
Self respect
Our bodies are the most precious gift of life. To be able to walk this earth in these forms of muscle, bone, skin, and mind. As we have been drawn further and further into our minds as the primary mode of engagement, it is so easy to forget the nourishment our body and soul need to thrive. If you want to go far out there, it will happen with a well-tuned and capable physical form. Much more than just food is needed to be fully alive and attuned.

Awareness

Senses
-
Leadership
-
Mentorship
-
Responsibility
-
Knowledge
-
Trusting your instinct
The final stage of remembering is to pass it along so the next generation does not have to start where you began. Mentorship and apprenticeship are long-held tenets of our ancestors. In our state of modern independence and isolation, we have broken the threads of knowledge sharing. Bringing this forth into daily practice, tuning the senses to listen and speak with clear intention, and taking the proper mantles of responsibility to care for and lead in community.
