INSTINCT
Instinct may be the 6th sense, the intuitive knowing. Moving through an experience taking in far more information than your mind can process cognitively, reacting from a place of deep and visceral impulse in your body-brain.
By investigating these listening/response pathways through active physical exercises, Instinct School helps to foster this intuitive language to become native to your daily experience.

RITUAL
Ritual rites of passage were commonplace amongst the human species up until the last few centuries of industrialization. Specifically for the transitions of boys into young men, young men into fathers this passage is of vital importance. Ushering these important changes and transitions in an open community setting as a way of honoring the evolution and development of what is happening unseen inside their bodies and psyche.
Offering skill-based and intentionally crafted practical skills that are filled with meaning and metaphor to the challenges of these vital transitions.

ENCOURAGMENT
Encouraging ritual over habit, thoughtfulness over pattern repeating, awareness over ignorance and kindness over resentment.
It is through the basic practices used that bring about new perspectives in how the simplest acts we incorporate into our daily lives that we start to awaken our instincts and interact with the world around us with more than our cerebral mind.

EMBODIMENT
There are many things that modern society can be praised for, endless advances of human understanding and critical thought. One thing that has been lost in this endeavor for ever increasing complexity of civilization is the nascent human skills rooted in our relationship with the Earth and each other via the conduit of Instinctual communication with the world around us.
Through crafted experience based practices to bring instinctual care, listening and craft into daily life this body of work is available to anyone interested in increasing their felt relationship and physical ability to care for and interact with their community, career, family and self.
